About Ryburn Gardens
Ryburn Gardens is a blueberry pick-your-own field on Ryburn Road at Newstead, just outside Hamilton. Visitors pick their own blueberries by weight, bringing their own container and wearing closed shoes; dogs are not allowed on site and there is a toilet available. The 2025/26 season ran from 6 December to 10 January, with entry priced at $15 for one or two adults accompanying children up to 16, or for grandparents, which includes the first kilogram picked. Further blueberries cost $15 per kilogram up to 10kg and $14 per kilogram beyond that. Opening hours varied through the season, generally from 9am or 10am to 6pm, seven days a week, with the field closed on Christmas Day. Payment is by eftpos, cash or bank transfer. As of late August 2026 the farm's website still showed the 2025/26 season details and had not yet published dates or pricing for the coming 2026/27 season.
