About Delta Gardens
Delta Gardens is a family growing operation on Walkers Road near Longburn, on the edge of Palmerston North. Run by the Dickey family, it is primarily a cut flower farm, growing more than 40 varieties of flowers across the year and supplying two family florist shops in town along with wholesale customers in Palmerston North and Wellington. Alongside the flower growing, the property is opened to the public each December for a pick-your-own day, when families can dig their own new season potatoes and carrots and pick raspberries straight from the rows. The pick-your-own opening is seasonal and the exact dates change from year to year depending on the crop, so it is worth checking ahead before visiting.
