About Blueberry Bliss
Blueberry Bliss, run by Broadfield Berryfruit Limited, is a family blueberry orchard at 475 Robinsons Road in Broadfield, just south of Christchurch. Visitors pick their own blueberries from high bush varieties bred from United States stock, with fruit that stays white inside rather than blue all the way through. The season typically runs from mid December to March, seven days a week, 10am to 5pm. Fresh picked berries are priced by weight, and the farm sells frozen berries separately under its Berries Direct label. Visitors are asked to bring their own containers, or buy a 1kg container on site for $1. Payment is by cash or card. Hand sanitiser is provided at the orchard gate, and parking is available on site. The farm notes this is a working orchard with uneven ground and stumps, so children must be supervised, and fruit should not be eaten before it is paid for.
