About Blueberry Fields Forever
Blueberry Fields Forever grows organic certified blueberries at Whitemans Valley, Upper Hutt, and lets visitors pick their own straight from the bushes, paying only for what they pick at $22 per kilogram. The farm supplies picking buckets and bags, and visitors are asked to bring their own sunscreen and hat. The season usually opens early to mid January and runs into the new year's warmer months, with picking open Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm, and until 8pm on Thursdays. Cash and eftpos are both accepted. A picnic area with seating is provided for visitors to bring their own lunch, and a food truck on site sells waffles, ice cream and milkshakes, alongside blueberry ice cream and jam for sale.
